"Mercedes Streeter" (smart)

So, I just finished watching them both, and here we go...
Pros
I think Matt might become a very nice addition to TG, I enjoyed his Nomad review very much. Hopefully the whole “he’s an American!!!” theme gets toned down as the show rolls on.
The final Land Rover v Jeep segment was pretty solid. The challenge itself wasn’t anything special (and was surprisingly short), but I found myself laughing and smiling at it.
Extra Gear is what the new main show probably should have been. The core content is just so much better...on top of that, Rory and Harris already have some great chemistry. It kind of reminds me of TG before TG became super famous. This 23 minute “show after the show” has more content than the whole hour long main show.
Yay, Sabine is back!!!! Her personality is so damn adorable.
Cons
Hopefully the duo presenter format was just for this one show.
Right out the gate, Chris Evans sucks. His voice too high pitched for narration, his jokes aren’t funny, he somehow tries to stroke a larger ego than Clarkson...he’s just freaking annoying.
The first part of the Reliant challenge was a waste of time. Matt broke down a couple minutes in and Evans followed him as he rode a flatbed to their destination. *Sigh*, I guess Top Gear tradition of leaving your fellow man behind is over? They spent more time being mad at the producers for their funny outfits than actually doing car stuff.
The jokes are way too clean. I mean, I know Top Gear pissed people off in the past with offensive humour, but children’s shows do better than this show.
The length of the challenge segments is unbearably short...like, they spend so much time in the studio that the segments are like what, 8 minutes long each?
The Viper v Corvette segment had a lot of potential...and fell completely flat. Somehow, it just felt like an ad for the Viper. Sabine (love her!!!) put forth a better effort than Evans here. I would have loved to see more “pros and cons” about both cars.
What the hell happened to SIARC????? I LOVE the new rallycross track, but wtf happened to the interviews? At least before, you got some introduction and backstory so you knew who the person was. Instead now, you get some stupid “who has the best favourite car?” and “who had the best 1st car?” The last SIARC segment was questionably boring, this one should just be completely skipped entirely.
Despite all this, I’m going to continue watching. I’ve watched every single episode of old new Top Gear (and every episode of Top Gear US) and even it kinda sucked for a season or two. So, based on that fact, this one should get better as time goes on. :)

It’s a C+ for me. Makes it harder to stay for the rest of the season, unless the BBC wises up and makes the Harris-Reid-Schmitz-LeBlanc team happen.
Oh, the rest? It’s right below this line.
